Hi from Puppy Girl - My new home

Hi everyone!

My name is Puppy Girl and I am new to this pack.

I don't know why, but one day some people came to my happy litter and took me away.  It was very scary.  But then they introduced me to my big brother and they were nice to me, so I decided it was a benevolent kidnapping.

My new den is smaller than my old one, and the yard outside is tiny.  I can see that there are a lot of exciting things close by though, so I started digging my way to freedom under the fence yesterday.  Mama and Dada found my escape tunnel, though, and they were very unhappy with me.

Sigh.

I mean, I promise to come back!  Why can't I just go and explore a bit?

In fact, Mama and Dada are buzzkills in all sorts of ways.

They don't like me tasting the plants, they don't like me chomping stones, they don't like me chewing the bark in my special potty place.

I mean come on!

They take all the fun out of being outside!

Still, I like the yard.  And getting out there is a piece of pie.  If I want to go out and play, all I have to do is pee in the house and next thing you know, I'm being carried outside like an Egyptian princess!

Maybe this new pack ain't so bad after all...

Licky licks,

Puppy Girl

When our Cairn Terrier Lulu was still alive, she wouldn't leave for anything. Hubby got really pissed at her one night & left her out in the alley all night. Next morning, she hadn't moved an inch, LOL! She knew she had it good & she was just having a night out under the stars. Crazy bitch. Her bad habit was *trashing*. We always had to make sure there were no trash cans on the floor or she'd eat almost everything in them, as gross as that truly is. Strangely enough, we kept her & loved her for 16 years, even though she constantly pooped previously ingested kleenex.

Best to break baby girl of her bad habit now. (Oh yeah, listen to me for sure.) I swear it only takes one time of going ballistic on them & beating the daylights out of them for it to work. Well, it worked when Lulu ate one of my Sesto Meucci sandals that I'd never worn & I beat her with the other one. (insert hubby's laughter here). I've never quite been able to physically beat anything or anyone. So says he. So say my kids. Oh well. So I wasn't a good dog person. Lulu was the shorter version of Marley in the movie Marley & Me. But, my kids grew up loving her to death, as did hubby & I.

Anyhooo.. good luck with that there, with the digging & all.

;-)

Hi Liz!

Lulu sounds amazing!

Poor thing out in the alley all night!

I am so happy that you had good times with her.

I just looked up Cairn Terrier on Google and they are totally cute dogs!!!
